Risk reversal · for cautious buyers

You name the price. £1,000. 7 days.

The single biggest reason UK SMEs delay AI is fear of paying for something that does not work. The Wingenious First-Build Guarantee removes the fear. Tell us what the build is worth in principle. We deliver a clickable, working prototype in seven days for £1,000. You decide whether to proceed only after you have it in your hands. Walk away keeps the prototype.

£1,000 fixed · no scope creep 7 days from PO Keep-or-walk · no further commitment 100% credited if you proceed to a Sprint

§ The deal terms

Three steps. No surprises. Money back is built in: walk away keeps the prototype.

The First-Build Guarantee is the lowest-risk way an SME can buy AI work from any UK consultancy. We carry the delivery risk, not you. The £1,000 buys a working artefact plus our time; it's not a deposit and it's not a discovery fee.

How it works

Three steps. One outcome.

Step 01 · 30-min call

You tell us

What you want built. What it's worth to you in principle. We confirm the scope is achievable inside 7 days. PO issued same day.

Step 02 · 7 days

We deliver

Gary builds the prototype. Built on Make.com, or bespoke code via Claude Code, depending on the right tool for the task. One mid-week check-in. Real artefact, not a deck. Delivered for £1,000.

7 days from PO · £1,000 fixed
Step 03 · You decide

Love it, complete the build

Proceed to a full Implementation Sprint from £8,000. The £1,000 credits in full, so the prototype is effectively free. Or walk away, keep the prototype, pay nothing more.

What you get

A real working build in your hands.

No slides. No deck. No Figma. The prototype is a runnable artefact you can hand to your team and use in anger from day one.

Artefact 01

Working build

The actual workflow, chatbot, document extractor, dashboard or agent, built on production tooling (Make.com, bespoke code via Claude Code, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) and runnable against test data.

Artefact 02

Read-out + recording

A 45-minute video walkthrough showing the prototype running end-to-end. Yours to share internally. A condensed written summary of design choices, tools used, known limitations.

Artefact 03

Production path

A short note on what it would take to put the prototype into production, including data integrations, security/compliance considerations, and a sprint-budget estimate.

FAQ

Questions the cautious buyer asks first.

Is the £1,000 really fixed?

Yes. Fixed at £1,000 for the seven-day prototype regardless of complexity. We scope tightly upfront so the price holds. If the scope is genuinely too large to deliver inside seven days, we tell you on the kick-off call and re-scope to fit, before the PO. No mid-project surprises.

What "counts" as a working prototype?

A clickable artefact you can actually use. For a workflow automation: a live Make.com or bespoke code via Claude Code flow that runs end-to-end against test data. For a customer-support AI: a working chatbot you can converse with, integrated to your knowledge base. For a document tagger: a working extractor that processes real sample documents. Not slides. Not a deck. Not a Figma mockup. Real, runnable, in your hands.

What happens if we walk away?

You keep the prototype. You keep the code/config/workflow. You owe nothing further. Your £1,000 paid for a working artefact and Gary's time on the kick-off and readout calls. We don't gate the deliverable.

Why £1,000 and not free?

Two reasons. First, free prototypes attract tyre-kickers; £1,000 confirms commercial intent on your side. Second, the £1,000 is exactly the right scope to fit one senior week of focused work. It's not a discount, it's the actual cost. If we made it free we'd build less.

How is this different from the £2,450 Readiness Audit?

The audit is a written report on your whole AI position: what you should build, in what order, on what budget. The prototype is one of those things built. Most clients do the audit first (so the prototype targets the highest-ROI build), then the prototype, then the full sprint. You can also skip straight to the prototype if you already know what you want.

Can the £1,000 be credited against a larger sprint?

Yes. If you proceed to a full Implementation Sprint (from £8,000) within 60 days, the £1,000 is credited in full against the sprint invoice. So in that case the prototype effectively becomes free.
